In the December Issue:

As women, we wear a lot of hats; those we choose to wear, and those inflicted on us by society, family, friends, and not to mention the workplace. But the rise to purpose is a real thing. Every day, we see more and more women on the rise, not just in their careers, marriages, or motherhood, but in their true purpose.

Why is it on the rise now? True identity, I believe, is the answer. I think women are robust, powerful, multidimensional species.

For years, the question has been, are you dating? When are you going to have a child? When are you getting married? If you never received the question, you witnessed the experience of someone.

With all the world's views of what we should be, sometimes, with the noise and pressure of the hats we wear, there could be pressure to conform. We are not what they call us. Because no one really knows you until you rise. Rise from the job title. It is what we do, but it is not who we are. While being a mother is a marvelous thing and a miracle within me. It's what I do. It's not who I am. We could continue down the list of all the hats we wear as women, but it's not who we are. It's all that we do. Women are coming into their own as they continue to rise.

As we discover who we are, our identity, and what we were created to be, we see that we are fierce, relentless, and limitless. Each of us has a multiplicity of gifts and talents that separate us and shape us for a purpose. One of my favorite books tells me that we were created to rule, dominate, and have authority on the earth. In a politically correct term, we call ourselves Queens. However, as a woman, I am just as much a King as my male counterpart.

If you look up the term "king" in the dictionary, it will tell you that it is a man that rules an independent state. However, it goes on to say, especially if inherited by birthright.

So, ladies, I am here to tell you that you are a woman, and you have inherited your kingship by birthright. When we learn this one fact about ourselves, our identity changes, and we rise. We rise from just being the things we do to being the people we were designed to be.

If you are wondering, "how do I become more fabulous than I already am?" Spend some quality time with you. Grab your favorite journal and begin writing your story as you envision it. The story you tell yourself along the way, or the story that someone gives you, may or may not be part of your true identity. You get to decide. Go back to the dream you had for yourself that everyone else thought was impossible.

One thing a King has the privilege of doing, is writing laws into place. The King could decree a thing to be, and it will. You have the power to make a decree about your own life. You can partner with other women kings or a coach for support. We are sure past the season of settling; you are a Woman King. When one woman rises, we all rise. We all win.
