In the July Issue:

You started your business because you have a passion, skills, and ever-growing ideas to better people’s lives. You were excited to get things off the ground, but now that you’re in it, you find yourself questioning your every move, while trying to find enough hours in the day to get it all done.

You’re not alone. Many entrepreneurs start a business with an idea, and quickly find that you not only wear a dozen (at least) hats, and become a professional juggler, but often end up on a self-discovery journey as well. You learn a ton about yourself – how you work, what drains your energy, what brings you joy and excitement, and which products or services work really well vs. the ones that feel like a “have to.”

As you’re building your business, you’re like a sponge, picking up and absorbing ideas, thoughts, systems, and offerings. You’re forever presented with the methods, strategies, and ideas on how other business owners are building their empires, which can often spark an idea or answer to a question that’s been looming in your mind.

The downside? These same messages can throw you out of your own version of alignment – your centered way of building your business.

When you are IN alignment you experience flow, ease, simplicity, and enjoyment. Working feels like a “get to” and there’s a “knowing” that feels grounded, calm, and exciting. You’re making decisions from your gut and mind, and aren’t easily influenced by what others are or are not doing. Money, clients, and opportunities easily flow into your life, and you enjoy the work that you are doing.

When you are OUT of alignment in your business, things feel like an uphill battle. Every idea becomes a “have to”, and you find yourself procrastinating, overthinking, and worrying. Everything feels hard and you find yourself jumping from one course to another, one idea to the next. You struggle to find clients, and the number in your bank account isn’t reflecting the empire you know you’re capable of building.

So how do you get back into alignment? How do you embody a fun and easy business when everything is seemingly on fire? After struggling with this myself, and working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, I developed The Powerback® Process – a simple way to shift your mindset and actions in the moment.

The next time you feel yourself being tugged in 100 directions, start going down the mental spiral, or are feeling overwhelmed in business, try implementing this quick process to get back into your energy:

The Powerback® Process – A.U.R.A

A – Awareness – bring awareness to the thought or feeling that you have. Notice it. What’s coming up for you? Where do you feel it in your body?

U – Unpack it – get curious about this feeling. Where did it start? What threw you off in the first place? How is this affecting your life and business?

R – Reframe – what is real and true? What do you want vs. what do you feel like you should do? Tap back into yourself and your truth.

A – Align – take action from your soul. This is saying yes to yourself, your desires, and your needs by doing what feels right to you.

This process can quickly help you shift from shoulds and have-to’s to deeply satisfying wants and get-to’s.

Being in alignment helps you, not only, simplify your business, attract amazing clients, and enjoy your work day, it also honors you – the magnificently talented person who started this business to better her quality of life, have limitless potential, and loves having the freedom and flexibility to be herself.
